Tooth Positioners: Thomas Perry began setting teeth for positioners in 1963 at Thunderbird Lab. In 1971 he found new emplyment at Oral Arts Lab. From 1977 to 1987, while working with Woodford Gordon, he attended many courses given by Dr. Ronald Roth and Dr. Tom Basta at F.A.C.E. and also learned from the other "greats" in dentistry who lectured there. These years of courses and discussions with doctors from all over the world, combined with over 100,000 wax setups that Tom has personally done, have all contributed to his present understanding of occlusion. He also taught the art of setting teeth at F.A.C.E., invented the "open flask" method of splint fabrication and has designed and built articulators and various lab equipments. He has developed sophisticated techniques in tooth setting and in 1987 opened his own laboratory, Inter-America Lab.
